Nose Surgery

Rhinoplasty

Reshaping the nose to bring it into elegant proportion with the rest of the face, while preserving — or improving — breathing.

Rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, refines the size, shape, and angle of the nose so it sits in natural harmony with the rest of your face. Because the nose is the centerpiece of the face, even subtle refinements can bring the whole profile into balance. Rhinoplasty can also correct functional concerns, such as a deviated septum or impaired breathing, in the same procedure.

Dr. Marciales plans each rhinoplasty around your individual anatomy and aesthetic goals, favoring subtle, balanced results over dramatic change — a nose that looks like it was always yours, not operated on.

Is It Right for You?

Am I a Candidate?

Good candidates are bothered by the size, shape, or proportion of the nose — a bump on the bridge, a wide or drooping tip, asymmetry — or by breathing difficulty. Facial growth should be complete, and healthy non-smokers with realistic expectations are ideal.

Why Patients Choose It

The Benefits

What to Expect

The Procedure

Rhinoplasty reshapes the bone and cartilage that give the nose its form. Dr. Marciales works through incisions hidden inside the nostrils (closed) or with a tiny, well-concealed incision across the columella (open), depending on what your goals require, then refines the bridge, tip, and nostrils for a balanced result.

Where breathing is affected, the septum and internal structures can be corrected at the same time. A lightweight splint supports the nose for about a week. Surgery takes two to three hours under general anesthesia at the accredited facility within New City Medical Plaza.

Before Surgery

How to Prepare

Healing, Week by Week

Your Recovery Timeline

First week

You'll wear an external splint and may have congestion, swelling, and bruising around the eyes. Rest with your head elevated; the splint typically comes off around day 7.

Weeks 2–3

Bruising fades and most patients feel comfortable returning to work and social activity. Avoid glasses resting on the bridge and any bumping of the nose.

Weeks 4–6

Swelling continues to settle and you resume most activity, easing back into exercise with clearance.

Months 3–12

Subtle swelling — especially at the tip — resolves gradually, and the final, refined shape emerges over the following months to a year.

The Outcome

Your Results

The general shape is visible once the splint is removed and early swelling subsides, but rhinoplasty is a procedure of patience: the tip refines and the final, polished result emerges gradually over six to twelve months.

The result is permanent, aging naturally with your face.

Good to Know

Rhinoplasty FAQ

Will my rhinoplasty look natural?

Dr. Marciales favors subtle, balanced refinement over dramatic change, planning around your features so the result looks harmonious and natural — like it was always your nose.

Can rhinoplasty fix my breathing?

Yes — functional concerns such as a deviated septum can often be corrected in the same procedure, improving both the appearance and how you breathe.

Open vs. closed rhinoplasty — which is better?

Neither is universally better; the choice depends on your goals and anatomy. Closed leaves no external incision; open uses a tiny, well-hidden columella incision for greater access. Dr. Marciales recommends what suits you.

How long until I look presentable?

The splint comes off around a week, and most bruising fades within two weeks — enough for many patients to return to work and social life, even as subtle swelling continues to settle.

When will I see the final shape?

The general shape appears early, but the tip and fine details refine over six to twelve months as the last swelling resolves.

Are the results permanent?

Yes — rhinoplasty permanently reshapes the nose, and the result ages naturally with your face.
